An app opened without being blocked

Blocking needs the accessibility service to be on: Android Settings → Accessibility → Downloaded apps → Outscroll. Android turns it off after some updates, and battery savers can stop it in the background, so the app's Settings screen shows both and offers a Fix button for each. Some system apps cannot be blocked and are left out of the picker on purpose.

Reps are not being counted

Put the phone on the floor or a low shelf about two metres away, with your whole body in the picture and the room lit from the front. Planks and sit-ups are counted from the side; push-ups and squats work from the front or the side. The app says what it needs on screen and, with the voice coach on, out loud.

Usage access and screen time

Usage figures in the app picker and the plan's screen-time goal need Android's usage access, which is granted in system settings only. The app works without it; the picker simply shows no times.

I forgot my settings passcode

The passcode is stored encrypted on your phone with a key that cannot be read back, so nobody, including us, can recover it. Uninstalling Outscroll removes the lock together with all of the app's data.

Deleting your data

Everything the app holds is on your phone, so uninstalling it deletes everything. The only records kept elsewhere are your purchases, if you bought Premium; write to us with the Google Play order number to have them looked up or deleted. See the privacy policy for what is stored.

The rules

The terms of use say what the app promises and what it does not.
